Because of server space constraints, I am only making gzipped tar files available. If you need gunzip, you can find it at http://www.gzip.org. Even better, just get GNU tar at ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/tar. It extracts and decompresses in one fell swoop.
If you already have the Java Development Kit or Java Runtime Environment (version 1.1.[6,7] installed on your Unix-like system, you can get a DaRT distribution which doesn't include the JRE. Check which JRE/JDK version you have.
