Conference Check-In (12-7 pm Sunday and 7 am - 5 pm Monday)

You should check into the conference in the Illini Union. You will recieve registration materials, including a bag, a note pad, a pen, abstract and program book, and Champaign-Urbana materials. People attending the tours or tutorials on Sunday, November 1 should register before the respective activity (between 12-1 pm).


Registration

Those planning to attend the ADASS'98 conference must register here. This registration includes conference fees, tours, tutorials, demonstrations, and the conference banquet.

Note that an additional tutorial entitled Multiscale Image and Data Analysis: Theory, Applications and Software has just been added to the program as of August 18. If you have registered prior to that date and wish to change your choice of tutorial, you may call 217.333.2888 or contact the LOC by email at adass@ncsa.uiuc.edu.

At this time only late registration are accepted. The late registration fee is $190 and the late student registration fee is $75. On-site registration for at the late registration rate will be accepted if space is available, but is otherwise discouraged. Note, if you need to cancel your registration, the fee will be refunded minus a $20 processing fee.

You may register using an on-line registration form. If you are using a browser that supports secure forms, please use our secure form. If your browser cannot access secure links, you may fill out our unsecure form. If you do not wish provide your credit card information for the unsecure form you can call in the credit card information at 217.333.2888.

Alternatively, you may download the registration form in PostScript format for printing and completion off-line. The form can then be submitted in one of the following ways:

Note regarding group payments: If convenient, institutions may collect registration fees together into a single payment. In this case, institutions should mail to the postal address above a single check along with hardcopy registration forms for each of the participants included by the payment.

Note regarding Social Security numbers: Federal legislation may make it possible for participants in certain educational programs to qualify for lifelong learning income tax credit(s). In order to receive a statement from the University of Illinois, you must provide your social security number. Providing this information is voluntary and it will only be used for tax reporting purposes.

Hotel Accommodations

Hotel rooms are being held until October 1, 1998. Please make your hotel arrangement prior to that date. The location of the ADASS'98 conference is the Illini Union, located on the campus of the University of Illinois. Rooms are available at the location of the conference in the Illini Union. The phone number for reservations is 217.333.1241. These rooms cost $62.00 (+ tax) per night for single occupancy and $70.00 (+ tax) for double occupancy.

Additional rooms are available at the University Inn, located three and a half blocks from the Illini Union. Note that the University Inn is in the midst of changing its name to the Quality Inn; so don't be surprised that they answer the telephone that way. Reservations can be made by calling 800.252.1368 (in Illinois), 800.322.8282 (outside Illinois), or 217.384.2100 (outside the US). The nightly single occupancy cost is $56.00 (+ tax) and double occupancy is $64.00 (+ tax); each additional person is $8.00 (+ tax). Be sure to mention the ADASS conference to get the aforementioned rates.
