ADASS'99 Website Open! The ADASS'99 conference will take place on Sunday, 3 October through Wednesday, 6 October; most activities will take place at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. For more information visit the ADASS'99 Website.

NASA/GSFC is pleased to announce the creation of the xml@pioneer.gsfc.nasa.gov mailing list.

This list is intended to unite astronomers interested in learning about XML and how the Extensible Markup Language can be applied to astronomy. Another goal is to coordinate efforts among astronomers to develop a unified markup language that meets the common needs--needs that will be identified by the mailing list participants.

containing the single line (subject unimportant):

subscribe xml your_complete_email_address

An archive will be established by Feb, 1999. List subscribers will be told how to access the archive once it becomes available.
