Processing BIMA Data with AIPS++

Setting up you account...

In general, to set up your AIPS++ environment, you need to source an initialization file. If you use csh or tcsh as your command shell, you would type:
   source aipsroot/version/aipsinit.csh
where aipsroot is the root directory for the aips installation, and version is the name of the version of AIPS++ you wish to run. You should see the details for your local site below for proper values of aipsroot and version. If you use sh or any of its related shells (ksh, bash, etc.), you would type:
   . aipsroot/version/aipsinit.sh

Under Construction

    • Machine with AIPS++ installed: lai250
    • AIPS root: ~aips2mgr
    • Available Versions: blessed, released, daily, weekly

    We recommend that users run the blessed versions, which represents the most recent stable version and is usually more up to date than released. daily and weekly are experimental versions that are updated often.
