The aipsview graphical user interface is designed assist astronomers in the analysis and visualization of image data sets in an intuitive manner. The interface is built with Motif and it is assumed here that the user is familiar with Motif user interface operations. For example, menus are opened by pointing at the menu button with the mouse pointer and pressing the left mouse button once.
